23 Jan Aegis Sciences Corporation Supports Music Therapy Program at Cumberland Heights
NASHVILLE, TN. (January 23, 2024) – Aegis Sciences Corporation, a health care testing lab that provides actionable information on medication adherence for those living with substance use disorder, held their annual sales meeting last week in Nashville. To connect to Aegis’s mission, a teambuilding activity was held that benefited the music therapy program at Cumberland Heights, a treatment center located across Tennessee. The sales team competed in a guitar building challenge in which twelve electric guitars were constructed, designed and donated to the music therapy program.
John McAndrew, Music Therapist, attended the event to accept the guitars on behalf of Cumberland Heights. Prior to the competition he said, “We get to treat people on the physical and spiritual level using music. These guitars are going to go to people all over the state of Tennessee. Once these guitars are put in their hands it is unbelievable how their spirits are healed. Sometimes they don’t even have to play it. They hold it and start to talk.”
“Our sales team is very passionate about the service we provide to clinicians who make care decisions for individuals seeking treatment,” said Mike Ziegler, Chief Commercial Officer at Aegis. “To be able to support a therapy program in our community is very meaningful to our team members.”
